John 1:8 - Bearing Witness to the Light
*John 1:8 tells us that John the Baptist was not the Light, but was sent to bear witness of the Light.* After centuries of prophetic silence, John's bold preaching prepared the way for Christ. His ministry drew crowds and sparked questions, but his role was clear: to point beyond himself to Jesus, the true Light of the world. Our calling is the sameour lives should shine in such a way that others see Christ, not us. Like John, we exist to reflect His glory, never to replace it.
